I Learned how Whoopie Pies are made. It is made out of vanilla cream frosting sandwiched between 2 round pieces of chocolate cake. It was invented in New England. Besides chocolate and vanilla frosting they have 4 all-natural flavors. They begin by making the chocolate cakes. Then they make the filling/frosting. Its main ingredient is sustainable palm oil. Then they place a piece of cake on top of the frosting. Then they cover the top with a sheet of parchment paper. Then place baking sheet on top and flip it over and add the other cake to the other side of the frosting. Then it is a nice whoopie pie.

In tech we have started our designs and we have been cutting woods. At first I thought I only needed 5 pieces of wood, but actually I only needed 3 pieces. The dimensions of the wood of 3 inches high and 36 inches long. I am making a box to keep signed balls in and I have cut basically everything.

Today I’m going to talk about video games. My favorite video games are Fortnite, Rocket League, and madden . Fortnite is a gun game but its is on a map with 100 people and you need to kill people to win. Rocket league is a game where you a car and you play soccer. There are other game modes like Hoops, and Hockey. Madden is just Football.

Something I like about tech is building things. Whether there bird houses or something bigger they’re always fun. I always have troubles at first. Sometimes my sketch isn’t possible or I don’t have enough wood, but it is always fun in the end because i just make something else.

Today we watched videos about trees turning into lumber. In the first video it was in 1947, it shows how dangerous cutting down the redwood trees were. People really liked redwood trees because it didn’t catch on fire easily and termite and insects didn’t eat it. They also showed how it turns into lumber just like the 2nd video. It was surprising to see how tall and old the redwood trees are, but also the process of turning them to lumber. In the 3rd video it showed the steps and what they were called when turning wood into lumber. It was really interesting.

This week I watched a video on metals and we learned about the periodic table. In the video about metal we learned  about gold and how once there was fire we left the Stone Age. Then we took a 3 question google form about the video.

This week I made a electroscope. Mine sadly didn’t work but it was fun to make. I used a clear class cup then I used cardboard circle for the top and then I but the paper clip with the pieces of tinfoil inside the cup. Then rubbed the ballon on felt. It was supposed to make the tinfoil pieces spread out.
