#4 Capstone- Site Vist

For my site visit I went to the Museum of Moving Image. My teacher Mrs.Edwards recommended it to me and my mom was helping me look for places I could go for my site visit and she saw this museum. It had a lot of good reviews so I decided I will go there.

I kept texting my mom when she was at work about when are we going to the museum? I kept getting the same answer. Over Memorial weekend. I was super anxious to go. I really wanted to check it out. Once I got in the car to head to the museum, I had a whole lot of thoughts of the museum. Was it going to be small? Was it going to help my information? Once I got there, the doors amazed me. They were glass with pink writing on them. That’s a good strat. Anyway, once I got inside I thought, that’s it! I only saw white furniture and table, on my right there was a little shop but I didn’t see anything else. The doors amazed me but the inside let me down. But we still walk up to the desk and they give us a sticker and said go up that staircase. I look to my left and I see a giant staircase, no wonder I didn’t see it, it was white so it blended into everything. Once I went upstairs, it was a whole other world. It was colorful, it had games in one room. They weren’t regular games, they were the games that were shaped like big boxes. You know, with the joint sticks. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, ask your parents. I also saw a bunch of sculptures. The stuff that is sometimes used in shows. I have heard about some of those things, but I actually got to see it. There was also a lot of hands on projects that I did. There was one that was putting my voice as something else. For example, instead of my mom saying something, She would move her lips but I would say the words. That’s called lip sinking. Also the computer showed me a few scenes from a movie and I had to guess the sounds tht were supposed to be in certain places. And I did a lot more. I had no tour but I almost saw the whole museum! And the hands on projects were so cool. I wouldn’t mind going back to the museum. Overall I learned a lot and had a great time!
