Rube Goldberg #6

Sadly, this is the last Rube Goldberg blog post… but this “unit” sure was fun! I’m gonna talk about when we actually got the machine to work. So, my group and I, were trying and trying to get the machine to work, but it could never work!! And we didn’t even have the two extra “reactions” yet! So when the machine decided to actually work, we cheered like regular people and added the two extra reactions which was a bit stressful, because the meeting was so close to being done, and the parents were already starting to arrive, which was even scarier. But when we did think about the two reactions and decided to record it, WE LEFT OUT ONE REACTION!!!! But it was okay because I thought that people would just ignore it and pretend like it is there. Overall, we finished the machine, the video, and now the blog post. This project was really fun and it was a great learning experience, like working with others, and even making a hard machine, which took a while to make. So long, Rube Goldberg project! See you soon!

Rube Goldberg #5

This might be a short blog, as well as the next one, but hey, It’s still a blog! So today we met at a group members house to work on the last Rube Goldberg Blog post together but… it didn’t go out so well. As you probably may know, my group and I have had a lot of fails during our Rube Goldberg project. But that didn’t stop us! But at the meeting, we basically goofed off, like spilling cereal all over the floor, playing with a hamster, chasing rabbits, and even a group member breaking a bed, that apparently wasn’t theirs… anyway, our Rube Goldberg project is coming to an end, which is a bit sad because this project was really, really fun to do, but always, things have to come to an end. Anyway, gotta go make my last, but not least, blog post #6!

Rube Goldberg #2

For part two of our Rube Goldberg project, we started building our machine. But… my group and I got distracted and almost did nothing the whole time. But when we tried making the machine, it didn’t really work out. We ended up taking out some ideas for the machine but didn’t replace it with any new ones. I really thought this meeting would go really, really well, but it didn’t really go the way I planned to be in my head. Hopefully we can work on the machine more in the next meeting, and hopefully create more ideas.

Rube Goldberg #3

For my Rube Goldberg blog #3, i’m going to talk about our failures, and some successes. First of all, my group and I have built our machine, which is a bit too short, and tried to make it work. But, it didn’t go too well. For example, the string that the balloon is going to glide on, isn’t “steep” enough for the balloon to go down. Also, the train that is going to hit the balloon misses, and ends up DENTING my wooden floor!!!! Lastly, the balloon that is supposed to hit the hanger which makes the page turn, isn’t working at all. Overall, I really, really, really, want this machine to work!

Rube Goldberg #4

For my Rube Goldberg project today, we are making the machine at my house AGAIN. We are doing it at my house for the third time because my house is basically the perfect place to build the machine. This will be a short blog, since i’m writing this before the meeting. But… I really, really, really, really, reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaalllllllyyyyyyyy want this machine to work in time, and hopefully shoot the video also, aaaaand probably add more reactions to the machine. Fingers crossed!

Rube Goldberg #1

The Rube Goldberg project is basically a machine, that completes a simple task, like kicking a soccer ball in a net, or getting a plastic ball in a cup. The machine that my group and I think of doing for the simple task is turning a page. The machine that we’re making is called “The Page Turner.”(Sounds interesting right?) Our “contraption” includes ropes, balloons, toy cars, ramps, and even more! My group and I are very, very exited to build this machine for this special project! But you never know what could happen…

My initial thoughts

I am pretty scared about sharing this blog even to my own school. My heart beat so fast when my teacher said, “With one press of a button, this blog will go out to the whole world…” But, I hopefully will “take on my fear” and keep blogging… and won’t be scared. I have a lot more to do!
