All About me!

Hi!? My name is Myla. I go to Fox Meadow School.  I like to play basketball? and tennis?. I also like to draw. My favorite color is blue. My favorite food is sushi. 🙂 I play the violin. Two of my favorite book series are Harry Potter and The Land of Stories. I have a younger brother that is 7 years old and his name is Aaron. I am in fifth grade and a couple of my favorite subjects are math and reading. I have a bunch of younger cousins and I love little kids. I babysit kids around my neighborhood. I also love dog’s. I wish I had a dog. My grandparents have two dogs and when I go to their house I play with them. I go to Camp Starlight for 7 weeks. I love camp and can’t wait to go back. 🙂 New Years is a very special holiday because both my parents birthday are then. This year we went to Mexico. Me and my family loved it!

Chains

We are reading a book called Chains. It is by Laurie Halse Anderson. It is set during the time of the revolutionary war. I am reading it for a historical fiction book club so the book is historical fiction. It is about 300 pages. I just started so I have a lot more to go. If you haven’t read it I suggest you read it now. If you have read it what do you think one of the themes may be?

The main character in this book is Isabel. She has a younger sister named Ruth and at the begging they tell you the mom died. Now Isabel and her sister are going to get sold as slaves.

I don’t want to give any thing else away so if you want to know more read the book.

Puppy fun!

I love dogs! I have been trying to persuade my parents to get a dog for as long as I can remember. I could care less about what type of dog I get, I just want a dog.

Here are the things I tried:

  1. I begged my parents.
  2. Showed my parents friends dogs and tried to make them like them.
  3. I made a ton of promises about taking care of the dog.

I tried all these things more than once, multiple times. I still got the same annoying boring parent response. That answer was a big fat NO.

P.S  DO you have a dog? If so please tell me how you convinced your parents.

Super Slimy Slime

Sometimes at home or at a friends house I make slime. The thing about slime is it doesn’t last that long and it is very easy to mess up. The opposite also applies if you make it correctly then it is so fun to play with. It can also help you focus when your playing with something in your hand it helps your brain focus. There are a lot of recipes to make slime. The way I make it is I put some glue in a bowl then I but borax in another cup and let it dissolve in water. ( If you don’t have borax you can use contact lens solution).  You don’t have to but sometimes I add shaving cream which makes it more fluffy. Then add tons of glitter and  food coloring! To give it it’s color!
