4 Thoughts.

  1. I was forced into the arena. My ears were ringing with the chants of the crowd. It was time for me to battle. I slowly dragged my feet on the sand to the middle of the battle field I saw a big bulky figure walking towards me with shield and a spear dripping with a red liquid. I had armor, a bow, and 6 arrows. I shot one toward his ankle,( I heard of Achilles) but his spear deflected it, hitting my armor. Without my armor, I would have been penetrated. He roared and threw his spear in my direction. I ducked, and it soared over my head, harmlessly hitting a rock. I scampered toward the spear and picked it up. He was now defenseless (but with a shield). I had two choices; I could run toward him and impale his shield if I had enough strength, or I could shoot his body with my arrows. I was still thinking about my decision util he pulled out a sword. It had a black blade (obsidian?) and had a very sharp tip. One touch of that could probably make Sleeping Beauty’s incident with a spindle look like a flu shot. He yelled and charged toward me and froze. He turned the other way, whimpering. I felt like a block of 24 K gold until I heard a low growl. It was a lion, but looked like he was made out of silver…etc etc etc

  2. Continued…. As the lion growled, I saw the sword in the corner by the gate. I sprinted toward it, (OBVIOUSLY because I needed protection) picked it up, and charged. I slashed, but I heard nothing. I opened my eyes and saw a mound of silver sand. The crowd cheered so loud, the gate was creaking. I suddenly remembered how I was in here the first place. I ran toward the gate, sliced it as if it were made of putty, and ran. Guards were charging behind me, shooting arrows and throwing spears at me. I felt like I was in a tornado of bronze and silver arrows. I got shot in the leg, but I still kept running. The arrow stung in my calf. I pulled it out (which made it hurt even more) and threw it into a random soldier. He fell to the ground, and suddenly all the other soldiers rushed over to help him. With my luck, he was the general. I tripped over a rock, falling off a cliff, plummeting toward the ground at 1000 mph. I spotted a river beneath me, so I straightened my body as if I were trying to reach the bottom of a 12 ft deep pool. I fell into the water, and blacked out.
