Blog 8 – using a compass

This week we learned how to use a compass so we could create the angles for our flash lights for the cave rescue. When you use a compass  you take the sharp end and put it into where you want the center of your circle/semi circle and then you draw.

You draw by putting the led part of the pencil on the paper and twist it.     This is used to create accurate circles and angles like a 45 degree angle.  If it was not accurate, then our flashlights would not shine where we wanted it to. Instead it could shine up, down, left, or right. I can not wait to use the pipes and create our actual flash light.
