Title: The 92nd Scripps National Spelling Bee Ends in a Historic 8 Way Tie

Summary: The Scripps National Spelling Bee has had 2 winners in the past 91 years, but never 8! There were middle school students from five states in the USA, New Jersey, Texas, Alabama, Maryland and California. The 2 day event began Thursday, May 30. At the beginning, more than 500 people came to try to win the spelling bee, but by Friday, there are only 50 left. At 3:30 PM, there were only 25 left. At 8:30, this spelling bee proved to be one of the most competitive in the Spelling Bee’s 92-year history.” It took more than 15 rounds and 2 hours to be done. In the end, It was declared an 8 way tie.
