We should have STEAM challenges once a month. The first reason is some STEAM challenges are so much fun.  Kids can actually be confused and ask themselves, “Is this work or something fun to do?” The second reason is STEAM challenges don’t only make kids have fun but it also helps them learn to work together

To begin,  you can do math and science and still be learning all of that in one! This will make it way more fun than to just have to do it in separate parts of the day. When I was young I did not know what a STEAM challenge was and I was actually doing it all along. It was easier than it is now.  It can make a big difference to try something new that you have never tried Kids before. STEAM challenges are challenges in which a teacher would usually put 4-5 kids at a table and then they would tell you how much time you have to create something or solve a problem. It is so much fun to work with a group and think of ways to meet the challenge. The part of the paper chain challenge that involves science is when you are  experimenting with how you well it holds together. You have to think about the properties of paper and how to make it stronger. The thing you would learn in this challenge that has to do with math is when you measure the chains you can’t just look at them and say this one is longer or this one is shorter you have to use a ruler or even a meter stick.

The next reason STEAM challenges should happen more often is you can learn about teamwork. For example, you learn to work together while you solve a problem and  learn science or math.
