5-B arcade

In class we have been doing 20% time. That is when we have time in the day to do something creative. 20% time is something that they have at google , it is 20% of their day to do creative things but it is not 20% of our day. During our 20% time my class has been making an arcade out of cardboard, styrofoam, 3D printed games and other materials. We have been doing 20% time since December and we have made a lot of progress since then.

     The game above is whack a mole and all its made out of is a card board box. We used two ping pong paddles and taped targets to them and that’s where you would throw the ball. If you throw the ball and it hits the target you would get a certain amount of tickets and we cut a small hole in the box so we can easily put tickets through. To make it easy to go in and out of the wack a mole we cut out a small hole and that way you can easily go through.
The game above is a claw machine. The claw machine is ,made out of a card board box and has a clear front so you can see the things inside. For the claw machine the top will be open so someone can move the claw around. A claw machine is one of the games from Caine’s arcade that inspired us to make a arcade. When the claw machine is finished we will put prizes in there that we made. 

The game above is a skeeball game and we made it out of plastic cups, card board and duct tape. For this game there is a button that makes a buzzing sound when you push it. We have that so whenever someone gets the ball in the plastic cup someone will press the button. For this game we taped plastic cups to the back of the card board so the ball can go in. And just like the real game we labeled above the cups so we can see how many points you got.

the picture above is a fanny pack made out of fabric that was sewed together. To make it we cut out some different colors of fabric and then drew with sharpie to make them the same size and then we cut it out then we sewed it  sewed them together. Then to make the strap we cut a long piece of fabric out. And then we attached them together.

The picture above is a design on tinkercad of a water bottle. Tinkercad is a site where you can design something and then 3D print it. This water bottle has to be printed in a few different parts.
