I have finished my passion project and am ready to present it to other classes. A passion project is like a mini capstone and gets you ready for bigger things. For my passion project, I decided to study robots and programming since I was always interested in robots and how they work.

I made a poster, slideshow, and even a robot. Here is my slideshow.

On my robot, I put infrared sensors which end light you cannot see. The light will then bounce back from the nearest object and hit the infrared receiver if there is one in range. The robot will then calculate the distance using the formula Distance = Speed x Time. Here is a video of my robot go through a maze. The code programs the infrared sensors to act like eyes and avoid objects.

I had had a really good time and can’t wait to present it to other people.
