I am so sad that tech has came to an end. I have done so many fun projects such as making automatas, Trusses, etc. Some of the projects were challenging, but over all I have had so much fun but I’m exited to start a new quarterly!

A couple of weeks ago I made a crank instead of a cam! I had a choice to choose between crank A and crank B, but I chose crank B because it didn’t seem like anyone else was doing it and I thought it would be really cool. It turned out amazing and I put a little man on top.

For the final project I made a circuit with something called a breadboard. The circuit made a led light light up. I had fun making this project and using wire cutter to cut the wires. But I’m sad that tech is ending.

this week we are wrapping up our automatas. We are making cranks for our last automata. We had the choice to choose between two cranks : crank a and crank b. I chose crank b because it looked much cooler then crank a. I’m exited to finish these and start our new unit.

For the past week before break we have been working on building a automata. I like this project a lot because I like cutting paper with the mini knives mr. Calvert gave us. We are building cam a and cam b which are two different automatas. So far I am really loving the project and can’t wait to finish it.

Yesterday I just completed the truss project. Basically we made any shape we wanted (I made a square) and put triangles in them to make them stronger. Once we were done making them we staked as many books as we wanted on top of the truss to see how much weight it can take. These were made out of tooth picks and any material like carrots or gummy bears to stick the picks together.

Last week I completed the beam project. This project to me was so much fun. I found it really fun because I got to put a ton of stuff on it and it didn’t break. My first test with the I beam went ok until the last part when it bent over. But the I beam that I made fit more things on it then the other.

I’m writing about the first week of a new quarterly tech! So far it seems super fun. I’m really exited to see what our new projects will be! So far we’ve learned about how the titanic sunk, how the d bridge fell, and the challenger. I’m very exited to see what else we will be learning.

For this final project in computer tech I decided to do a quiz on Tynker. I decided to do Tynker because its something that I’m more familiar with. I also decided to do this on a math problem. What I found hard in this was transferring a lot of code to a new character when I wanted a winter theme.

In the new swift playgrounds game, “Answers” we had to test out the code they gave us and change it around a bit. For mine I added a forth command which asked you what bed size you had.  I coded it so that you could scroll through some choices and pick which one. What I found challenging was that when I tried copying some of the commands it told me I made an error so I fixed all the errors and it worked out great.
