I am thinking so far about how much more to the revolutionary war than I thought. All the important people that I didn’t know existed. etc… Benedict Arnold! I mean, I didn’t even know that he was a person! I wonder why all those people weren’t as famous as George Washington?! And who else is there to learn about?!
In “Wonder”, I learned that you will be more liked and appreciated if you are kind rather than being cool. Being cool barley matters. Being kind means the world. A precept that I created is that “Kindness is like oxygen. Everyone needs it. Everyone has it. But some people forget it’s there.”- Rowen
I think that Charlie wished to be back with her parents and sister (and Wishbone) and to be happy together. Or, she might want more friends. I wonder if she likes Colby or Rohli better. Either way, in Colby, she gets happy, mad, and sad. Same with Rohli. Back to wishes! She might want to take back what she said to Howard. Maybe to not loose Wishbone again. Charlie has lots of wishes so its hard to say.
Why is Halloween a positive thing for Auggie? The answer is: He gets to cover his face with a mask. He doesn’t like how his face looks. He is being Boba Fett, but change of plans! He is being Bleeding Scream. His friend, Summer wants to be a unicorn,but she thinks it is too dorky. 🙂 🙁

This Read Aloud Reflect the 1st in a series of posts about the book Wonder.
So far,I think that Julian is a bully and is sneaky. It makes me feel sad and angry how Julian treats Auggie. Auggie has his first class. Mr.Brown has a precept and it is: Given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind. My precept is: Don’t let what others think get you down. Auggie just made a new friend, Summer. 🙂 She doesn’t care about Auggie’s face. 🙂
I feel like Auggie will shine soon! He liked school! 🙂 I can’t wait to see what happens next!
