The Brilliant Deep

I have a passion: animals. The cute and furry ones, the big and strong ones, the scaly ones, all of them. After reading The Brilliant Deep, by Kate Messner, I knew one day my passion to work with animals could happen. Just like Ken and his passion for the coral reefs and the ocean. The Brilliant Deep was very inspiring to me.

When I learned what a veterinarian was I immediately knew that it was what I wanted to be when I grow up. I mean, I would get to work with/help animals ALL day! Perfect. I have been practicing on my dog every day. She has a bump near her eye so I put the cream on it. I also have been begging my parents to get me another animal. For example, I always ask for an animal every time I hear about it. Some of the things I have asked for in the past are… a hedgehog, another dog, a pangolin, a mouse, a ferret, a cat and so on. I’m also constantly watching videos about animals. If my mom is on FaceBook I will make her stop at every video that has an animal in it.

The Brilliant Deep was an amazing book and I loved the inspiring message it gave. My favorite part of the book was when Ken planted the new coral in the old reef. I think he did this to show his passion for fixing the ocean floor. Kate Messner writes amazing books so I am not very surprised she wrote this one. I would definitely suggest The Brilliant Deep for anybody who is having trouble finding their passion.
