A maglev train is a train that levitates over it’s track. It levitates because there are magnets under the train and on the train track. That causes the train to levitate. My group and I had only 1 idea, but it did not work the first 2 times. My group (that includes me too) chose to put 2 strip magnets for the track and 4 disc magnet for the train.
It didn’t work the first 2 times because the first time the magnets on the track were the wrong way.They were facing north to south so they attracted and did not repel. The next time we tried, the magnet on the train was the wrong way. But finally we got it to levitate (because the magnets repelled).
It was sometimes hard sometimes because people were messing around. Some people were making super magnets, battling with the magnets, or making magnet people with the magnets. Most of the group actually started working and then we were successful.
