The Benefits of Yoga

Hi guys, it’s Rhys again! Today I was doing math and there was a question I just couldn’t answer. No matter how hard I tried, I kept getting it wrong, over and over and over again. This went on for about an hour and a half. I dropped my head and was just about ready to give up. Then my mom came over and said, “Hey, Rhys. Let’s do some yoga.”

You see, my mom is a fitness and yoga teacher who works at a place called Here & Now.

Sometimes we go into the gym in our basement and we stretch and meditate. It really calms me down, and I love doing it. If you’re stressed about a situation that you just can’t seem to escape, I guarantee that yoga will work. Sometimes it is helpful to just sit, breath, pose and relax.

Aside from being relaxing and calming, yoga is also really healthy. It increases your flexibility and keeps your muscles strong and your body moving. So if you feel like you’ve kinda just been laying around for the last couple of days, grab your yoga mat and get moving!
