The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
Okay, so I have just finished reading this book called The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, and it is pretty good. It’s about these four kids, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, who find a wardrobe that takes them to a magical world called Narnia. In Narnia, animals talk and there is a lion named Aslan who rules over the land. But there is also a witch that has turned all of Narnia into snow and ice, and these four children must go into battle against her and her army.
Overall, I would give this book a four-and-a-half star rating. Why only four and a half? Well, because in the middle of the book, Santa Claus comes and gives them all presents, which justĀ doesn’t make sense to me. But anyway, the rest of the book is pretty good, and it inspires feelings of hope, courage, and persistence. Great read!
Nice, Rhys. I just recently reread that book and I agree with you – the Santa part did not bring much to the story. – Mrs. Noonan
