Soon it will be 2017’s one and only Valentines Day! That is my favorite holiday in the whole wide world. Do you know why I love this holiday so much? It is because… IT IS MY BIRTHDAY! When February started the count down began. For my birthday this year, my appa, dad in Tamil, will be here. Last year he was only here for part of the day of my birthday.

Now I am in fifth grade and looking back at myself in kindergarten I think that all of my memories are so cute. I remember at school when we did valentines. I used to always think that I got double presents. I felt like everyone would celebrate me. I sometimes wish that we could do valentines again.

I also like a lot more holidays but this is my favorite one. So now you know what my favorite holiday is. Now I want to know yours. Please comment and tell me what kinds of holidays you like.

So what different kinds of energy did we use in our Rube Goldberg? Lana and I used potential energy and kinetic energy. Potential energy is when an object sits still. Kinetic energy is when an object is in motion. When one object has kinetic energy is can pass that energy onto another object that it knocks into.

Everything has energy in it. Even if you don’t realize it. And even you have energy in yourself. There are a lot of different kinds of energy. When the two of us started our Rube Goldberg the whole projects had potential energy but once one of us used some energy to start the Rube Goldberg, there was a whole contraption of energy. We put kinetic energy on the object that had potential energy. That kinetic energy tranfered into mechanical energy because work had been done. After that whole energy swap the Rube Goldberg had a big chane reaction.
