The king of Thailand is crowned in a three day ceremony

When the king of Thailand passes away there is a three year mourning period. So when king (get ready for a long name )Bhumibol Aduyegj passed away, the country went into the mourning period, delaying  king Maha Vajiralongkorn to be crowned in 2019 instead of 2016 when the last king died. When the king is crowned there is a three day ceremony involving  getting gifts like a HUGE sword and thing that resembles a golden traffic cone to wear on his head(I am told its called the royal whisk). The procession ends with the king making a speech to the people of Thailand. After the speech there is a drone festival where drones light up to resemble Thailand’s flag in the air. BYE!!
