Martin Luther King Jr

Dr. Martin Luther king was born January 15, 1929,  He lived in Georgia, Atlanta. At the time when Martin was growing up whites and people of color were segregated. Later in life he became a minister and worked hard to change segregation laws, He taught people not to fight but to change laws in peaceful ways.  He went to jail sometimes or faced violent punishments.When Martin gave his “I have a dream speech” in Washington DC He won a Nobel peace prize it moved others to protest to change the law too. But others don’t believe in changing the law, people wanted the law to stay the same. Martin Luther King was an inspiring and motivational speaker. After he was assassinated more people started to speak up for this law to be changed, and soon enough it did. White people and people of color came together.
