Making an electroscope…
Materials Needed
1. One ballon
2. A large paper clip
3. A clear glass cup
4. A small piece of cardboard
5. a small piece of tin foil
6. A sweater
7. Scissors
How to make it….
1. Use the clear glass cup to draw a small circle on the cardboard
2. Cut out the circle on the cardboard
3. Cut a line in the middle of the circle but only reach the middle
4. Unfold the paper clip but leave a hook
5. Put the unfolded paper clip threw the line cut threw the cardboard
6. Get a piece of tin foil and fold it
7. Cut out a shape of a rain drop
8. Unfold the rain drop ( so there should be two rain drops )
9. But both raindrop shaped pieces of tin foil threw the paper clip hook
10. But the cardboard circle on top of the glass cup
11. Rub the sweater against the ballon for 5 seconds
12. Put the ballon close to the paper clip sticking out and watch the magic happen.
The little rain dropped shaped tin foil pieces should appear to move as you bring the rubbed ballon close to the antenna.
