Sixth Grade :)

Hey guys! So Today is finally the last day of the second week of sixth grade! Every thing has been going well so far and all the teachers are really nice. I think my favorite academic teacher is either Mrs. Holtzer(science teacher) or Mrs. Madoff(math teacher)-just saying if you other academic teachers are reading this, please don’t take this personally.- I think thatย  my favorite non academic teacher is either Mr. Calvert (technology teacher) or Mr. Rotjan (orchestra teacher). I really like the other teachers too, but these are just my four favorite teachers.

On the first few days, I got lost, but I’m pretty sure s lot of people did since it was the first day, but after that everything went pretty well. I am enjoying a lot of sixth grade even though I have heard a lot of bad rumors about it but (in my perspective) none of what I heard is true. I also learned a lot of pretty cool stuff like in my last post about the atoms that I learned in technology. I think I will have a great time in sixth grade and hopefully I make lots of new friends! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hope you guys liked this post! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted in such a long time. So every day I have technology and we have been learning some pretty cool stuff. I think the best thing that I learned was how small an atom is. I learned that in order to see 1 single atom inside a grapefruit, you have to make the grapefruit the size of the earth. and then, guess how big the atom turns out to be? It ends up being the size of a blueberry!! I find this really amazing how one tiny little thing can be in everything!

The Great Wall of China

Hi guys! It’s been a while since I have last posted. As you peeps all know, I am doing The Great Wall of China for capstone. In this post I will be telling you all the facts that I know about The Great Wall.
The mean emperor.
The Great Wall was built by peasants, farmers, and criminals. families were separated because workers got snatched out of their homes. They did not even get to decide whether they wanted to built the all or not. If you disobeyed, you would be executed. Click Here.

Great Wall of China

I have been looking forward into studying The Great Wall and I always wanted to know more about it ever since I went there last summer.ย  at first I had a little trouble finding books and resources about it but now I understand it better. I am not quite done with my research yet, but here are some of the facts that I have collected so far on my topic:
  • the supplies used were rocks, bricks, rice powder, reeds, and soil.
  • It was Qin Shi Huang who ordered people to build this wall
  • There were about one million laborers that built this wall
  • As many as 300,000 workers died and many were buried within the wall itself.

Burglar Break

Hi guys!

So at recess Carly, Sophie, and I started chasing Katelyn and then we started making up this game because then we started to chase Jenny and Chloe L .

How you play Burglar Break is there are 3-4 burglars/criminals and the rest are catchers or guards. The catchers catch the burglars and bring them to the jail where the guards guard them in case they escape. Sometimes if another burglar is not tagged and you are on your way to the jail ( if you are a burglar), that burglar can try to get you free by pulling you away from the catchers grasp. Also if you are lucky enough, you can sneak away if the guard of the jail is not watching. When all of the burglars are caught and put into jail, the game is over.

I played with Jenny, Chloe L., Sophie, Lotus, Carly, Katelyn, and Elizabeth and it was really fun.

Chinese New Year

Hi everybody! So today I am going to be posting about Chinese New Year. Chinese new Year was on the 16th of February. I missed school that day because Chinese new year is a very important holiday for my family and many other families. In China, it is a day to spend time with family members.

My family had a Chinese New Year dinner party with all of our closest friends. It was really fun. Also we got to stay up late because it was Chinese New Year. before the dinner party though, we watched a CCTV Chinese New Year Gala on TV.

Our New Pet Rabbits

Its been quite a while since I’ve blogged last. This time I will be talking about my new pets. We got theย  baby rabbits a week and a half ago, but when we got them they were already about a month old.

When my dad said that we were going to get pet rabbits, me and my sister did not believe him. We were so excited when we found out that we were actually getting them.

Now that we have them, their names are Butterscotch ( his nick name is Butter) and Cream Cheese. Mine is Butterscotch and my sister’s is Cream Cheese. They are both white so we tell them apart by their sizes and their reaction when we pick them up.

Here is a photo of Cream Cheese and Butterscotch sitting together in their cage:

The one at the left is Cream Cheese and the one at the right is Butterscotch.

Hope you ENJOYED this post and liked my other posts! ๐Ÿ™‚

Writing Celebration

Today we went to visit our buddies. This is their 2nd writing celebration and we got to celebrate it with them. A few weeks ago they were writing their stories and i was really looking forward to hear/look at it.

Molly’s story is about her ski trip.ย  she went to Utah to ski and visit her grandparents, aunt and she went there to celebrate Christmas. Her favorite part about her ski trip was when she decided to go on the blue trail ( she must be way better than me if she can go on the blue trail).

Her second favorite part was when she got to celebrate her mom’s birthday before Christmas eve. She even got to eat ice cream sundaes at her grandparents house! Lucky her! Today I learned that Molly’s grandparents live in Utah.

Molly is very brave when she went skiing because she did not cry when she fell down. She actually liked when she fell down I think this story is about bravery.ย I really liked her story and it was really detailed. Molly’sย  spelling isย  also really good I really enjoyed her story. Molly says,ย  “I’m proud of it because it only took me 4 days to make it.”

ENJOY! ๐Ÿ™‚ and hope you like it!
