Here are 5 facts on South Africa that I learned and that you may not know.
- In the entire continent of Africa, there are less than 25,000 rhinos left. There are only that much left because animal hunters hunt them a lot.
- In SA the most used language is English.
- In SA, before 1994, all the presidents were white.
- Nelson Mandala was the first balck president in SA.
- SA has three capital cities which are Cape Town (We are there right now!), Pretoria, and Bloefontein.
On the 23rd of December, we went to a Safari in South Africa for Christmas break and it was really fun. The bad news was that we had to wake up at 4:00 AM because the animals would not come out if it was too hot. The safari was in Kruger park and it was really hot. Also, the place we slept in was sort of like a tree house except it was a tent and had bugs crawling all around it. The shower place was not really private because there was no doors to and the place had no doors and was really weird. I hated that place even though the food was pretty good.
Here are some of the pictures that my mom took on the trip:
We also saw 3 turtles, a lot of impalas, a few rhinos, 2 hippos, 4 baboons, 1 lion, 2 boars, I recommend going there or in George, South Africa . That day we also went to third largest canyon (Bryde Canyon) in the world. It is also the most green one in the world.
As you all know, I have already made a post about my wonderful buddy in kindergarten, Molly. Check out what one of her masterpieces are! 🙂
This is one of Molly’s many masterpieces. I think that it has a lot of color and style in it. I really like this one because in the middle circle, there is a lot of small swirls. I think that makes her drawing very unique.
Hi everybody! I’m back! Today I’m going to talk about my buddy, Molly. Molly is a kind girl and is very smart . Even though she is younger than me, she raises her hand way more then I do . She is in a younger grade than me and is very smart . Even though she didn’t know all of the words, she still was able to retell the story .
I also really like Molly because every time I see her, she is wearing a different hairstyle which always is matching whatever she is wearing . Her mom or who ever helps her choose clothes, sure has a good taste in picking clothes .
One more reason I like her is because all her projects and writing she has showed me and Katelyn are all very detailed and colorful . In one of her pieces, she wrote about when her house was under construction. I really liked all the effort she put in just one drawing of a worker carrying a table. I also like how she did not finish everything, but already knew what she was going to write already.

Me! Me! the third alien went to a car place and learned: Vroom! Vroom! In a car we’ll go! Then on the same day, someone got killed But the police could not find any evidence of who might be the person who killed him, so they went around asking “Who did this?”The second alien heard them and said, ” Me! Hi peeps! Today I am going to be posting about breaststroke and why I like it so much. I really like breaststroke because I can relax myself while I’m doing it. But sometimes in my swim team we have to do sprint breaststroke and that is the only times I don’t like it. Other times, we just do it after a 30 minute freestyle sprint and it feels really good to relax yourself after a long and tiring swim.
I also enjoy swimming the breaststroke because I can do it for a longer time than the other strokes and because it was my 2nd stroke that I learned out of all four of the strokes.
When I was younger I used to call the breaststroke the froggy stroke and I’ve always believed that it was called that until my dad told me the truth. When I found out, I cried ’cause I always thought that the”froggy stroke” was the right one.
Hope you liked this post and ENJOYED my other posts! 🙂
Hi people! Today I’m going to be posting about the facts about why I don’t like butterfly and a little more about it. First of all butterfly looks like this:
It is my least favorite stroke because on the 6th step, you have to immediately put your head down even though your hands are not even up yet. I also do not like it because when I kick, my hands do not go up enough so that affects me from going farther so I basically stay in one place. also when I kick, the kicks I do are not strong so that also affects me from going farther. Even though it is not as worse as my backstroke is, it is still really bad.

Hi peeps! Today I’m going to be posting about swim. Swimming is one of my passions simply because I’ve been doing it for 5 years. For swim team though, I have only been doing it for 2 years. Now I am in the Badgers Swim Club and the requirements that they have are quite hard.
I normally go 3 times a week to practice, but if there is a meet, I go four times. I just had my second meet on Saturday, but I don’t know what place I am in. The last time I had a meet, I was in 63rd place, 42nd place, and 63rd place again. the strokes that I did were: 100 freestyle (63rd), 50 backstroke (63rd), and 50 breaststroke (42nd). I wasn’t really happy about that. I thought that I would do better than I actually did.
If I were to line the strokes in the order I liked them, it would probably be like this: breaststroke, freestyle, butterfly, and finally backstroke. I absolutely hate backstroke because I have never been good at it. I am also not really good at butterfly because I always can’t get my hips up so I can go faster. I am pretty good at freestyle , but if I use all my energy at once, I can’t do more than 5 laps before slowing down. Breaststroke is my favorite stroke because I can relax when I’m doing it. Sometimes I can’t relax because either I’m in a meet or my coach tells us to go sprint breaststroke. What is your favorite stroke if you do swimming?
