WEEK AT A GLANCE
Thanks to our Specials teachers and Support staff for the delightful breakfast provided on Thursday morning. It was quite an enticing menu that took incredible willpower to not go overboard eating. Joan, thank you for the invitation, the reminders and for always adding a special touch to such occasions. Caren, Paul and Cassandra, thank you for the personal touch of your homemade selections. It’s always special to see everyone gathered around the tables in our faculty lounge enjoying a meal and each other’s company.
I hope you enjoyed the Band performance this past Tuesday. Thanks to Mr. Missett for the hard work – bringing out the best in each of our 5th graders.
Today was the 1 year anniversary since we lost Deb. She may be gone but certainly not forgotten as the stories told and retold remind us of her humor and her big heart. Thanks to everyone for remembering. And, JoAnne, thank you for the chocolates! You are amazing!
Have a lovely weekend.
Best to all,
You are encouraged to attend the District Math Committee meeting on Monday. Your voice in the conversation is important. Please see invitations from Nancy Pavia and David Wixted.
The next Metamorphosis Coaching session for Grade Band 4 will be hosted at Greenacres on Thursday, February 7th. Shoshana with her team will spend time processing and planning the lesson, then going to the classroom. During the planning session, we are able to accommodate not more than 2 teachers to join the group. However, during the lesson in the classroom, there is greater flexibility. If you are interested in observing the planning and or teaching of the lesson, please speak to Sharon D. or me. I am sure you will agree this is a wonderful learning opportunity.
On February 1st we will have a PTA sponsored Cultural Arts Performance by the Lion Dance Acrobats. The performance is scheduled at 8:45 and is expected to end by 9:30. The program cannot be extended beyond 9:30 so please make a note of the earlier start time. We would like to begin promptly at 8:45.
Reminder – STAR window closes on February 7th
