Dear Colleagues:

Now that parent teacher conferences are behind us and and Campus Backpack has been loaded with the most recent report cards, Sharon and I would like to thank everyone for your attention and dedication to the growth, success and wellbeing of our students at Greenacres. You have worked with your students to accomplish much over the past seven months and it has been quite remarkable reading the many report cards that have so thoughtfully summarized the students’ accomplishments and growth areas you will be tackling over the next three months. Sharon and I are grateful for each of you as classroom teachers, specials teachers, service providers, teacher assistants and teacher aides. With the support of our custodian and cafeteria staff, yoga and gardening instructors, great things are happening for our students at Greenacres. Sharon and I proudly stand with each of you as colleagues. Together we work to make our students SHINE.

With Lynne’s help, the WAAG has had a facelift! I hope you like it. Let me know what you think.

There is rain in the weekend forecast, so I hope you make it warm, cozy.

Have a restful weekend.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

SINGAPORE VISITORS: As you know, one of our obligations as a Blue Ribbon School is to host visitors who are interested in learning from the practices shared in our Blue Ribbon Application.  I have received confirmation that our visitors from Singapore will be joining us on April 2nd from 9:00 – 1:00 p.m. We do need volunteers who would be willing to participate in order to make this an inspiring and successful visit for our guests.

Muhammad Sadhiq is the Head of the Upper Primary School of the Henry Park Primary School.  He will be accompanied by Deepak David, Head of Character & Citizenship Education. While there is particular interest in grades 4 and 5 Science and ELA, there are other areas of interest that will make it beneficial to visit other grade levels and subject areas. Please click this link to take another look at the expressed areas of interest. We really do need volunteers. You may sign up on the document and indicate your area of interest next to the description provided in the outline.

Sharon and I will be meeting with volunteers on Tuesday and Wednesday 3/26 & 27 to collaborate with you so that we may create the agenda that best matches your schedules.

Please also use this Link  if you wish to become familiar with the Henry Park Primary School.
