Summary: On May 15, 2019, an unknown buyer paid slightly over $91 million to gain ownership of American artist Jeff Koons’ “Rabbit” sculpture at Christie’s Post War and Contemporary Sale in New York. This broke the record of “the highest-ever paid for work by a living artist” and this wasn’t the first time Jeff Koon broken this record. In 2013 his “Balloon Dog” sculpture got $58.4 million which then was “the highest-ever paid for work by a living artist”.

Personal Response: I chose this article because I really like art and I thought that 91 million was a lot of money.
