My answer to this problem is \$17. I got my answer by first doing 18 x 4. I did this because I needed to find out how much the basketballs costed all together. Then I tried to figure out how much he needed. So I did 72-55 and the difference is 17. That is how I got my answer.

My answer to this word problem is \$17.I got my answer by first doing \$18 times 4 because I need to know what he total cost of the 4 basketballs are. Then I subtracted \$72 minus \$55 because \$72 is the number I got from multiplying \$18 times 4 and the \$55 is the money that David has and the second question says that how much more money he need to buy the four basketballs.

My answer to this word problem is \$17. I got my answer by first doing addition because when I tried multiplication it did not work for me. Then I subtracted 72 the answer of the first step with the 55 because that would give me the answer to the problem.

My answer to this word problem is \$17. I got my answer by first doing \$18 X 4 because David wants 4 basketballs and each basketball is \$18 so I multiply the two numbers and the I know that the 4 basketball cost 72. Then I did \$72 – \$55 because the basketballs are \$72 and David has \$55. So that’s how I got my answer \$17.

My answer to this word problem is \$17. I got my answer by adding the cost of each basketball \$18 and I added 18, 18,18,and 18 and I got 27 but maybe it was wrong so I did it an other way \$18 times 4 and that equaled 27 so I was right then. Next I subtracted \$55 the money David had in the first place and did \$55 -\$27 and then I got my answer \$17

My answer to this word problem is 17\$. I got my answer by first doing. Added 4 basketballs and got 72 because I need to find out what is the whole of the basketballs. Then I subtracted 72 and 55 and got 17 because to get my answer I need to subtract how much money and the answer of all of the basketballs.

My answer to this word problem is \$17. I got this answer by first doing multiplication because you are suppose to multiply the four basket balls cost altogether. So the word problem is “18 multiply 4 ” and the answer is 72. Then I subtract because I have to figure out how many more money David needs to buy 4 basket balls. So, you the word problem is “72 minis 55” and the answer to the problem is “17.”
