Blog #6 – Working on My Final Product

Today is the time when we are getting taped for our Capstone presentations we are supposed to use for the blog post. It was really challenging to make the slideshow, but with a lot of help from my teachers and aids I got it done, and it looked really finished. The hardest part of the final share is easily the script. It was really hard to create the script, because I had to copy my essay into another doc, and then it was 11 pages long. That’s way too long, and then I had to trim a lot of it out. I got it down to 5 pages, which was a big improvement from the 11 pages. I then practiced it, and then found it was really hard to memorize. This was easily the most frustrating and challenging part of the whole project. it took me 2 days to get it memorized, and then it was too short, and then I had to add more, which took me another day. I got it memorized because I read it over and over again, and read each slide carefully, and then read it without looking at it. I repeated the process until I got all the slides memorized.

My favorite part of the finished project was probably the slideshow. I like to draw and the slideshow was really fun to make, because you have the choice of picking the best image for the presentation, so it is especially nice to you. I also made a few changes from comments my friends gave, and it turned out to be really good. Google had a lot of really cool self driving car images, so it was a huge benefit to my slides.

Today, when I got taped, I messed up a little bit because of all the pressure I had, but it ended pretty well because I caught myself just in time before I carried on and had to do it again. everyone liked it, and I think it was a pretty big success!
