Blog #7 – Capstone Share

On Friday, 6/21/19, we had the Moving Up Ceremony, and after performing, we had the Capstone share. There was a lot of the fifth grade, because our grade is usually larger than the other grades, so we were split up into more rooms than usual. I was going to present in multi-purpose room B with some of my friends in other classes. It was interesting to see my friends present their topics, which I didn’t know about, and all of their topics were really interesting.

I was presenting the first in our room, but there was a problem, which was that multi-purpose room B and A were connected, but that was easily fixed because the custodians put a barrier between, so we wouldn’t get distracted. Unfortunately, we had a projector, while the other room had the real TV. Instead, we used an Apple wireless mouse, but it was really inconvenient because I kept clicking wrong and it kept getting disconnected. Eventually, we got it done because there was a man controlling the real computer and he helped me.

Everyone including the performers did really well, and I enjoyed a few of the ones where they had an extra feature, like a video, or one that had a topic that I could really relate to. I thought the share was a huge success and everyone worked really hard, but the result was really worth it. Even though there was more pressure on us, because there were so many people, we still all remembered our lines.

I think the Capstone unit was really interesting and enjoyable.
