Capstone Project #7 Final Projects

Monday and Tuesday were the big day! Every fifth grader presented their final presentation to the whole school and parents, and the presentations were a BIG hit!

My Capstone projects was on “How to start a business using trends” and here is my final project…

But before that, I will tell you a little bit more on this whole 6 week Capstone project. As a little recap from my latest six blog posts they all are on a different parts/learning experience on Capstone. My main inquiry and sub-questions were a challenging step but they were the base of my entire project so I made sure mine came out perfect. Interviews and Site visits were important too. They were very reliable sources for gathering helpful information. The site visit was important because you could see visuals of all the information you were working hard to find. So, that, lady’s and gentleman, is a little blog post recap!

But now, let me tell you all about the actual Capstone presentation day and all my little helpful tips!

I had created slides with detailed pictures describing what I was intending to explain to my audience, with a script that I had perfected to match my slides exactly so I could give out as much information as possible. One of the biggest tips I could give you would be to make sure everything matches. Take the extra time to cancel out those few words that don’t match your slides or topic. Make everything you say tie to the slides! Also the three biggest things I was told were to slow down, speak loudly and to look up! No one wants to see the top of your head or have all your words wiz by, look up, speak slowly and talk loudly! When I finished presenting these tips were so helpful and I enjoyed every single second of presenting my Capstone project!

I had so much fun since the start of Capstone. Picking a topic, gathering my information and finally presenting all of my hard work. It was all such a great experience! I really hope that you enjoyed following my Capstone experiences and here is my final presentation…
