How it’s made

Today, I watched a video on how a skateboard wheel is created. They start with an aluminum puck which they cut with a programmed machine meant for cutting the puck into the wheels exact shape. They cut two separate halves of the wheel then put them together. They’re are also one part versions of the wheel. The one part wheels are created with mold injection and the material is poly urethane liquid into the molds and the liquid begins to solidify immediately. After this the molds are put into a oven at 240 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes. The pins are then removed from the molds and then compressed air pushes the wheel out of the mold. Another worker test if the wheel is hard enough then a cutter cuts the wheel to the correct shape. A artist prints images that would be put on the wheel then the print is placed on a metal and then UV lights are put on the metal and print and this puts the print from the plastic onto the plate. The image is then put onto a machine where the images can be put onto the wheels with a silicone shape that can take the paint and then splash it on the wheel. A technician tests the rebound on the wheel of if it has a high rebound, it is ready for shipping. A worker packages it and sends it.

Blog post #9

Today, I had a homework assignment that really confused me, this was really annoying me because I usually get things that I am taught so when I didn’t, it stressed me out. To fix this, I took a 15 minute break and when I tried again, I looked from a different perspective and finally got it.

Today, we learned about the different types of wood. We learned about soft woods, hard woods, engineered woods and more. I learned that soft woods have cones instead of seeds and hard wood trees have seeds instead of cones. Soft wood trees are used for the houses structure while hard woods are used for floors and design. Engineered wood are scraps of wood combined with resin and glue and they are really heavy.

Today, I want to tell you about what is happening for Fountain this week. This week we have a Science test this Wednesday and a Math test this Friday. I am not stressed for either test because I feel like I understand everything relatively well but I am going to study today and get 100’s on both 😁.

The Tech Post

Today, I will talk about tech, in particular my computer. I do zooms, play video games and do school work on my computer. The reason I don’t do work on my school iPad is because sometimes the keyboard does not work so it is hard to type for assignments. The only time I would use my iPad instead of my computer is when I need to do an assignment meant with notability or when I am doing assignments in school. This was my post on tech and I hope you have a great day thank you.

Wood blog post

I learned from the logging videos that there is a landing area where all the chopped down logs go. I learned that skidders pull trees to tree processors for them too be processed.  Lastly I learned that Trees are delimbed to be easier to chopped up. My question are Why don’t they grow trees for the specific reason of chopping them down so areas are not ruined, they could save so many animals if they just had a few spots where they would grow the same trees from.

How did I transfer energy?

This weekend I transferred energy in many ways but the one will talk about is when I was playing football with my family. I used (kinetic) mechanical energy when I threw the football and I used (kinetic) thermal energy when I was sweating after playing football for a while.

What is Energy?

Today, I will answer what I think energy is when I think of energy I think of a lightning. I think energy is when motion happens because all motion requires energy to perform. An example is if you walk, you produce energy, if a lightning bolt strikes, it produced a large amount of energy. To conclude, I think energy is when motion happens because energy is required to do basically everything including movement this is why I think energy is motion happens.

The end of technology #10

Today, is the last day of tech, I am really sad that all of this has finally come to a end and I hope that tech 7 will be just as fun. We learned about molecules, atoms, circuts and so much more and I really am sad that I will nolonger get to do this. Goodbye bloggers, see you next year.
