An exciting Capstone project
Hi!
In school we started Capstone! Capstone is a project where you choose a topic that you’re interested in, research it, and present it. For my topic I chose men’s gymnastics. I chose that topic because I thought it was very different from women’s gymnastics, and I only know about women’s. We are also doing an interview, and a site visit. I’m interviewing a coach from my team at the JCC, and for my site visit I’m going to a place where they train called World Cup Gymnastics. So far I have learned a lot of things about men’s gymnastics, especially the events that they do. Some interesting facts about my topic:
- Men don’t have music in their routines
- The parallel bars have to have consistent movement
- On parallel bars they swing, fly, and hold moves
- They only touch the vault for a split second
- Men vault across the length, girls across the width
- The men’s events order is Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and Horizontal Bar
- On the pommel horse only hands are allowed to touch
We have been researching for about a week, and the whole process of Capstone takes 6 weeks. The “museum” is June 8th. We’ll all present our topics, and in the day all the grades come to see, and in the night for 5:00~6:30 the parents and siblings come to see.
Thank you! 🙂

Snow day poem
We all wish there is a snow day tomorrow, so I wrote this poem about playing outside in the snow.
When there is white outside, no one really sighs.
Go outside and go play, and if you are on a road trip, you might have to stay.
If you are staying here in at home and can’t get in your van, come with me to build a snowman!!!
You probably already had snow and you know it will melt, and sadness is probably all you felt.
So enjoy the snow while it’s still there, because sometimes, snow is very rare.
Human Rights
March 6th,
In school, we are learning about Human Rights. Human Rights, are Rights that all humans have. In total, there are 30 human rights. Every person needs to obey them, unless they don’t want their rights. But nobody, can take your rights away. If you want to learn more, go to click here.
Later in the lesson, we are making a PSA. We made a letter to our teacher, saying which 2 Human Rights we want to do for our PSA. I chose the right to Nationality, and the right to Education. I’m really excited.
March 8th,
Today we found out our groups. I’m in the right to education. We are doing our PSA on how to get people into school, and that everybody should get a chance to go to school.

GYMNASTICS AND ART!
Hello! One of my top favorite hobbies are…
( drumroll please)………….GYMNASTICS!!!
I have been doing gymnastics since I was 6. After I moved to America, I’ve been more serious about it. Right now I’m in level 4 in Team at the JCC. I mostly got this hobby from my sister , who did it since she was 5 until she was 12. My favorite event at gymnastics is the beam. My least favorite is probably the bars. I’m very excited to keep working on skills with my team!
Another one of my favorite hobbies are… ART!
I love art and skeching because it’s very relaxing and it’s just fun! My dad is a very, very good skecher, so he taught me a lot. For example, let’s say it’s a rainy fall day and you have nothing to do because it’s raining. Just get out your sketchbook and start drawing whatever pops up in your head!!
Thank you 🙂 and please comment and follow!
