Hi guys! I’m back, and I’m now in 4th grade. For those who didn’t know I existed, my name is Will.

One of my hobbies is playing video games. I have 10 on my Nintendo Switch. Once when I was playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, I defeated a boss, but then discovered that I had to fight 3 more bosses. I lost a lot of hearts and then got killed. My favorite video game, as of right now, is Fortnite Battle Royale.

Another one of my hobbies is playing basketball, and soccer. My favorite soccer team is Liverpool, an English team. I play basketball for my church, too. We are 1-4. I’ve scored 4 points this season.

I also really like owls. 1) They are very intelligent. 2) They are very wise, and 3) owls are just awesome. In third grade, my best friend and I wrote a book series about owls and monkeys.

I’m really excited to start blogging again, and I will be blogging about stuff I do at school, video games I play at home, vacations, and sometimes about my basketball games.

A Later Bedtime

Mom and Dad, I go to bed way too early. A lot of my friends have later bedtimes than I do, and I don’t think that is fair. I am 8 years old, and I still have to go to bed at 7:00. Vivian is 3, and she goes to bed at 7:00—–the same time as me. I am 5 years older than Vivian. Why can’t I go to bed at even 8:00 on school nights and even later on the weekends? I am more responsible than a 3 year old. I should go to bed at 8:00 on school nights and 8:30 on weekends.   

If I had a later bedtime, I would have more time to do things. I could have more time to do other things than just my homework and something else. For example, I could read more. I don’t have time to read all the books I want when I read in my bed. Also, I could write more (especially Sammy on the Run 3) because you don’t let me write in bed. It is fun to write. I can also do my homework plus I can take my time instead of rushing so I can do other things. I could also play with Julia and Vivian and that would help me bond with them even more, especially that the Winter Olympics are coming up and we are doing our own. Also, we could play more of our games that take about an hour to finish.

If I had a later bedtime, I would have more freedom. If I had more freedom, I would be more responsible. I would be funny, nice, and kindhearted with Julia and Vivian. If I was more responsible, you wouldn’t have to ask me to do all the things I need to do, since I would do them myself. I could also put myself to sleep since I would fall asleep faster when it was later, and that would not take me as long to fall asleep. For example, one night I was really excited about other things and I couldn’t fall asleep. I finally fell asleep at 8:30. Do you really want me crying on school nights or weekend nights? Also, other children are experiencing freedom as a kid. I have a lot of friends who have a bedtime over 8:00, so it can be done.

Some parents may think that it is not good for their child to be able to go to bed whenever they want, because they won’t make good choices and will just stay up for half the night. However, I know when I like to go to bed and will make good choices. I will not stay up so late (8:00-9:00).

I should have a later bedtime. I will have lots more time to do all the things I need to do, experience freedom, and a later bedtime will make me lots more happier. What are you waiting for? Change my bedtime now!

Hi everyone. Welcome to my blog! My name is Will, and I am 8 years old. I like to play video games, and I like to play with my stuffed owls Sammy and Wisey. My favorite video game is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It’s a video game where you have to try to beat shrines and towers, and kill monsters and Calamity Ganon. I also like to write. My best and oldest friend Rhys and I write stories about my owls and his monkeys. We’ve known each other since I was 6 months old!!! Right now we’re working on Sammy on the Run and Jackson on the Run 3. I also like to play FNAF (Five Nights at Freddy’s). It’s a horror game where you have to spend five nights at a pizzeria called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. You have doors, lights, and security cameras. I also have two sisters named Julia and Vivian. Julia and Vivian play Five Nights at Freddy’s, too! I’m on Night 3. On Fridays, Wisey or Sammy Owl comes to school! They play with Sammy or Jackson Monkey. Wisey is best friends with Sammy Monkey, and Sammy Owl is friends with Jackson Monkey. I like to play some sports, too. Basketball is my favorite sport to play. I play on a basketball team. We’re pretty bad. Our record is 2-9. In Sammy on the Run 3, Sammy Owl tries to run away from Spike the Cat, who is very eager to eat him and his friends. There’s a part where Julia and her giant owl Twiggy see a “mouse.” Twiggy swoops down. Twiggy finds out that the “mouse” is really Spike the Cat, who eats Julia. Twiggy flies away screeching in terror. I have an iPad, and a Nintendo Switch. In my point of view, there should be some homework. That is, 2 hours of video games a night!!!* I can’t wait to write again!

*That is, also another 30 minutes of playing with Sammy Owl.
