In our school we have this fun competition where (as you can guess from the title) fifth graders play the teachers in a match of Volleyball! It is always fun to watch and to cheer on whatever team you’re rooting for (I prefer rooting for the fifth graders *cough cough*). We have the match in the gym and the whole school is there which means that it’s basically chaos and the noise is just amazing. So there are 3 fifth grade classes and each one will wear a different color so for example my class might be wearing yellow, and Ms. Coopers class might be wearing blue, and Mrs. Edwards class could be wearing red. That way we know what class the team players are on. In P.E. we train before the match and all that so we are pretty warmed up when the game comes. I might be wrong but it seems like of all the years that I have been in Heathcote, in the games that I remember the teachers always win. And I mean I get it. They’re older than us and stuff like that but it’s still so frustrating when it’s in that split second you realize that the teachers won. But this year I’m finally going to be playing against the teachers and my friends are already trying to make sure that no matter what it takes fifth grade will win this year!
