Dirty to Clean

Posted on

In school, we are trying to to filter some “mystery water” with filters we created ourselves. We needed to attempt to clean the water as much as possible so it is good enough to drink. We found that sand could improve the clearness of the water. And the coffee filters could reduce the number of particles in the water. For my group’s filter, we used 10 ripped up cotton balls, folded cheese cloth, and half a cup of sand. It was the best idea we could’ve come up with at the moment. We got a total score of 7/4, the less points the better. And it took 42 seconds for our filter to clean a quarter of a cup, witch isn’t bad. If you’ve done this project¬†or plan on doing so, comment and tell me what was your result. I hope you had fun!

Hello to all! My name is Helen, and I am a 5th grader at Fox Meadow! Now, three most important things you must know about me is that I love reading, writing, and I’m a weirdo. Allow me to explain:

Reading is great because I like to imagine the story is happening, or that I’m in the story! It’s really easy to just get lost in a good book for me; fantasy is my favorite genre.

A lot of people don’t like writing… but I do! When I was younger I used to love to play pretend. But now I’m older and roleplaying with stuffed animals seems a bit too childish sometimes. So now I write stories instead!

I have to admit, sometimes I’m a bit weird. But they say being different is good so…

And that is pretty much all you need to know about me! Oh, and that I play the piano and the violin. Also that I love Minecraft, drawing, chocolate, sugar, ice cream, hot cocoa, dogs, blogging, weapons, Docs, YouTube, etc. Enjoy my blog! Please

Enjoy my blog! Please read my posts, comment, and follow me. Love ya all!
