More Of My Story!

Posted on

Happy New Year everyone! I can’t believe it’s already 2017. Time flies…(Sorry, I’ve obsessed with doing “…”)Any ways, remember the post about my story. Well, since so many of you like it and suggested I post more, I’m going to post more. Enjoy! 🙂

It was noon by the time I began to get lost. According to the “stories”, the Theta wolf has retreated into a place called Ma__ um, Mer__ Mana__ Manhattan! Somehow, that place evolved into a city(it used to be a nice but growing town) , ick! I began to slow down to a walk, but I herd a voice behind me.

“Look! It’s a husky!” Said the voice of a child.

I  turned around and found myself face to face with a young girl.

I groaned “Oh no.”

And now here I am, in a hospital with a human and unable to continue my quest. Great. I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to act like a normal husky with a red piece of cloth on me, or, let me rephrase, I spent the rest of the afternoon pretending to be a guide dog! This is never going to end is it. But I saw my chance and bolted out the window as soon as the nurse opened it. I was glad that I was only on the second floor and not the thirty-third* floor. I landed with a graceful thump and burst out running.

I found the nearest dark ally and dove under a pile of dirt, twigs, and leaves. And I was quite surprised to find myself face to face with another dog. I jump out of the pile of garden trash and growled at the dog.

“Who are you?” I asked, slowly approaching the dog.

“Well excuse me! Is this private property?!” Said the dog in a sarcastic voice.

Normally, I would’ve laughed at this. But I was physically and mentally exhausted and was in no mood to kid around. And I realized that I’d become just as plain the others in my pack. I winced. The thought of my pack brought back such intense grief that I immediately push into a different topic.

“So, I’m Storm, a spirit wolf, pleased to meat you.” I managed  through gritted teeth.

“I’m Oak and__”

Whatever she was going to say was cut of when some not-so-nice-looking boys stalked into the ally. And I quickly burrowed back into the pile of trash.

“Who are they?” I whispered.

“The Quilette gang” Oak hissed. “If those gangsters find us, we’re about as alive as, well, this.” She gestured at the dirt that was staining my fur(not that I would care at this point).

“What do ya wanna do today?” One of the big gangsters said loudly.

“I dunno? How ‘bout messing somebody up!” Another boy appeared.

He was smaller but he had a glint in his eyes told the truth.

“Crooked.” I growled.

Oak was a stone next to me, but I could feel her muscles tighten. Then, she did something I’d never imagined.

She coiled, and sprung.

“No!” I cried.

I had learned to never blow my cover(as a spirit wolf and all). But my voice reached her too late. She and the gangsters were a blur of movement. There were cries and yelps of pain for both Oak and the gangsters. The battle was too close. After a while, I could feel Oak start to slow down. It was badly noticeable at first, but soon I could hear her panting. I had no idea what to do, but I had to help, otherwise… Before I could lose my courage, I leaped into the blur.
