Ruins of Humanity (Chapter 1)

I am SO sorry for not updating. I haven’t check my blog in so long… But here is the promised chapter! I hope you like it!

P.S: Chapter 2 is still being written!

I woke to the sounds of silence. Yes, silence.

As a wolf in captivity, I was used to humans and how noisy they were. Every day I would shut my eyes tightly, attempting to drown out the sounds of shuffling feet, phones ringing, and loud strangled sounds of humans talking about needing coffee; but not today. I wonder why?  I peeked shyly at my brother, who was still asleep. After debating to wake him up or not, I walked over and shook him with my paw, hard. I must’ve used a lot of force because Jake tumbled from our nest and landed in a puddle of muddy water. I laughed, which resulted in me being doused in slimy mud. “Hey!” I half growled, half laughed.

“That’s what you get!” Jake snapped playfully and pounced on me. “Why did you wake me up?!”

I waited for him to notice.

Jake froze, “where are the humans?” He quickly got off me and jogged to the fence of our little plot of land. “There’s no one here.”

I quickly joined him, “what do we do?”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, what do we do if the humans don’t come today?”

Jake considered it for a moment, “maybe we could break out and -“

“And hunt?” I cut him off, “are you crazy? We’ve never been out in the wild before!”

“We’re at the top of the food-chain!” Jake argued, “we could do it… You never know.”

I shook my head, “no way. We’re just going to get lost, starve, and die.”

But I was already walking away from him and back to our cozy nest.

Jake was the most impulsive wolf of the litter. He loved adventure and was the first pup to wander out of the nest our mother had lived in. Unfortunately, our litter of five soon became a litter of two. The oldest pup was disabled because there was something wrong with his legs, the humans had taken him away at few day after our eyes opened. The second youngest had died at birth. Our youngest sister was perfectly fine, except a few days after mother died, she was gone as well.

I plopped down on the stack of hay, unsure of what to do. Usually, we would have been eating breakfast, then training, then we would get to go visit the twins Connor and Finick, who were a set of twin wolves in captivity, too.

I haven’t been this worried and annoyed since that time Connor threw up blue grass all over me.

The moon had almost made her way to the middle of the sky, but still, no one came to check on us.

“I’m starving!” Jake complained. Any wolf who didn’t know us would’ve thought I was older. Jake was the most immature wolf I’ve met, taking second place after Connor.

“So am I!” I snapped. The only thing we’ve had all day was water from the pond.

“Storm,” Jake looked me right in the eye, “what if the humans had abandoned us? What if they aren’t coming back? Are we just going to starve to death?!”

“Now you think it could happen,” I muttered.

“Isn’t it better to die trying?” Jake persisted.

I ignored him and dug my head into the hay, trying to block out everything. And I fell into an uneasy sleep to the sound of my heartbeat.

I woke up in the middle of the night, gasping for breath. I turned, searching for Jake’s comfort, only to find what made my heart race.

The spot where Jake should be was empty.

I was on my feet bolting for the fence, and I was right. There was a small hole, covered in weeds, but it was big enough.

Jake was gone.

But what made it worse was the fact that he’d left without me.

Ruins of Humanity

Hi guys! I know, this should’ve been a preview or part one of Kythira’s story! Unfortunately, that story is taking me a rather long time… Good news, I started another story! It’s called Ruins of Humanity, and here is the blurb! I hope you like it! ?

This is a tale of a wolf who’s never lived in the wild and has always been fed and taken care of by his works. But one day, he notices that not a single human had fed him all day. Out of hunger, he manages to escape from the only home and family he had known of and finally gets a chance to see the outside world.

However, even the wolf can tell that something is wrong. The world had never been this silent and dead before. The reason? There was not a single human left on the Earth.

Read on as you watch our wolf learns about survival, family, and whether humans were good or evil for what they’d done to our planet.

A Useless Post that You Probably Won’t Read

So… This post is completely useless. Not a story, or notice, or video. I’m just telling you guys about why I haven’t posted.

So if you guys didn’t know, I have horrible wifi and my blog wasn’t letting me log in… But I assure you that I’m not dead, and I will update soon with Kythira’s story! And that’s pretty much it for now, YOLO!

P.S: I just realized that this is my first post in Uncategorized. LOL!

Hey guys! So I said only part one was published for my story Everglades, but it’s going to be the only part. Sorry if you liked the story, but I guess I just kinda lost inspiration for it. I had no ideas (since you guys don’t ever comment stories ideas ?)! But I had recently started reading the Divergent series so I wrote this story. You can call it a fan fiction, but I don’t think it’s that alike… Anyway, enjoy!

P.S: Please comment story ideas! When I have writer’s block, I have seriously bad writer’s block. The last one almost killed me, so if you don’t want me to die, comment! Thanks!

P.P.S: What do you guys think about a part two for Soul??

So this is how it’s going to be, huh? Well, you can change our actions, but you can’t change our soul! I snarled angrily in my head. I’ve had absolutely enough of Adrian and Halo. Heck, I’m actually wishing I was a Horn or a White Blade. Stomping out of the Caliper Room, I made a beeline for Willow-Birch; Willow-Birch was an extremely pale birch tree. I called it Willow because my brother had mixed it up with a willow tree. I know, you’re probably thinking I’m so delusional that I’m naming nature now; but I have to admit, I’m a bit lonely. Whether it’s because I’m so much more a Horn than a Halo, or I’m just a strange girl who lost her marbles, I really stand out as the weirdo, the oddball, the misfit. And it’s not always that nice to be different.

On Willow-Birch perched a crude looking tree house. My brother and I had built it a few years ago; it was the last thing we did together before he left.Without hesitation, I grabbed the ladder and made my way up. This place had brought back so many memories of the past, even if it wasn’t there to witness or experience it. The floorboards creaked in protest as I trudged in the treehouse. I eyed the photo album of only me and my brother but decided against it. A squirrel made a loud thump as it landed on the roof of the treehouse and I nearly jumped out of my skin. I was always nervous and jumpy whenever I did this, it was against the laws of Halo. Halo Peacekeepers would arrest me if they found out, especially since I had stolen this glass ball. Taking a deep breath, I spoke clearly but quietly, “ Show me Kyle Halo.”

“Hey sis, missed me much?”

Everglades (Part One)

Sorry guys! I haven’t updated in a while so I wrote a really sucky story after 4 hours of brainstorming. I don’t have a lot of time (funny, since it’s summer vacation) so this is just part one. Again, sorry for how badly written it is, enjoy.

I ducked behind a bush and attempted to catch my breath. Today had been an especially bloody day, and I do not enjoy being turned into a corpse.

“Come out you coward!” The girl who was chasing me yelled. “Fight me face to face!”

And become one of those mutts? Right.

I walked up behind her and waited for her to turn around. When she did, shock was clear on her face, though it quickly turned into pain. She yelped, seeing that I had stabbed my knife clear through her stomach. “So sorry, good night,” I muttered and stepped back as the ground swallowed the girl. It was the 17th day; the 17th day of torture; the 17th day of death. I scrounged the forest for food, no luck, so if I didn’t want to starve, I had to go into the Everglades. And I probably wasn’t going to make it out of that cursed place in one piece.

Two voices raged in my head as I approached the Everglades,

“How puny would it be to die of hunger? After all this, you die to a natural cause!”

“You know about the Everglades! You know how many they killed! You aren’t special in any way, what makes you think you can do it?”

I shushed the second voice, my breaths rattled and I plunged into the Everglades. As I did so, I felt a surge of power; or recklessness.

That’s right! I thought to whoever created the Everglades, I just signed my own death contract, who’s a coward now?

Okay, so it’s summer. Yay! But that also means my “blogging schedule” will be changed.

First of all, the Videos of the Week will be stopped until September. It’s quite tiring to keep on looking for videos every week because I’m a pretty busy person.

Second, I might be less frequent on certain types of posts…

I might be adding more notices but this is all I can think of right now, so bye!

Things I Just Realized

Posted on

So, another random post about things I just realized recently! Enjoy!

#1 We cook bacon and bake cookies (say: cook bacon bake cookies slowly if you don’t understand)…

#2 The Hunger Games series has 3 books, 23 people died each year in the games, and there are 12 districts. The Hunger Games movie came out on 3/23/12.

#3 Think about it, the brain technically named itself.

#4 The nursery rhythm never said Humpty Dumpty was an egg…

#5 The work “ok” is a sideways person.

#6 (This is probably just me…)OMG, you, like, totally read this in an annoying girl’s voice!

#7 Think of a number, double it, add six, divide it by two, subtract the number you started with from it, your answer is three.

Random Things

Posted on

Just a post of random stuff. Quotes, can you relate, lots of stuff. Enjoy, and tell me if you laughed or smiled.

P.S: Tell me if you think I should post more of this!

P.P.S: Do you guys like the new theme?

#1 Have any of you guys laughed so hard, no sound came out, so you just sit there clapping like a retarded seal?

#2 Does anybody actually read the terms and conditions (when you update your device)?!

#3 “Did you just fall?” “No, I attacked the floor!” “Backwards?!” “I’m freaking talented!”

#4 That depressing moment when you’re done with your book, the library is closed, and you’ve already read every single book you own.

#5 My friend thinks she’s smart, she says onions are the only type of food that can make you cry. So I threw a coconut at her face.

#6 The really depressing moment when you realize that the pizza delivery gets to your house faster than the police.

#7 “I just watched a movie where a man’s wife was brutally murdered and was left with his only alive son. His son gets kidnapped, and the man had to chase after his son thousands of miles with the help of a mentally disabled woman.” “Sounds good, what’s the movie called?” “Finding Nemo.”

Going Again to… Tuttabella Trattoria!

Posted on

Do you like Italian food? Maybe pasta, or raviolis? Well, give Tuttabella Trattoria a try. An Italian restaurant on the corner of White Plains Rd and New Wilmot Rd. The restaurant is open from:

Monday to Thursday: 12 PM – 10 PM

Friday to Saturday: 12 PM – 11 PM

Sunday: 12PM– 10 PM.

I had been to Tuttabella only recently but I think it is a great restaurant you should try.

I have only gone to Tuttabella Trattoria for dinner, which is what I am going to review, but there is a lunch menu, a party menu, and a catering menu as well. One thing I don’t like is that the menus are written in Italian. The restaurant serves you water and bread first with olive oil first, then the waiters will give you your menus you can order appetizers like Shrimp Cocktail and Clams Casino (baked little neck clams with bacon, roasted pepper, and capers). The main course consists of soup, salad, pasta, chicken, veals, seafood, meat, and sides. I really liked the Ravioli al Pomodoro (cheese ravioli in a fresh tomato sauce). There is dessert as well, however, it is not written on the menu. The waiter will also give you with a list of that day’s specials, and you are able to order special plates for your allergies or special diets. Tuttabella is also fairly priced, it isn’t too expensive but the food is still great.

The waiters and waitresses are very nice, they are all dressed nicely and alike. Sometimes they even interact with their guests! There usually isn’t too much waiting needed but it depends on when you come to the restaurant. The ambiance isn’t too dark, but it isn’t very bright and the whole restaurant is lit by candlelight. The restaurant is Italian so the decor is Italian as well, there are even pictures of Italy in the past on the walls. The restaurant doesn’t have any rules about loudness but somehow it is just naturally quiet.

Overall, I really like Tuttabella Trattoria and would like to go again. The food is Italian but I think most people would like it. I would give it  4.5 stars.
