Rube Goldberg Machine

Last week Jackson and I also did trials 5-15 and we finally got it on the fifteenth trial. On the fifth trial the golf ball did not have enough power to hit the board game boxes down. That was a recurring issue and we had to find the perfect place to put the board game boxes, (not too close but at the same time, not too far) we could have gotten it to work much quicker than the fifthteenth trial if we had figured that out quicker. On the sixth trial it was the same situation, the golf ball did not have enough force to knock the board game boxes over. We tried to fix it after trial five but we just did not move the board game boxes enough. On trial seven it was the same deal the golf ball did not have enough power, we needed to move the boxes even more. On trial eight it was even more annoying, the ball that was suppose to hit the golf ball rolled off of it’s track so the first part didn’t even work. We didn’t have to change anything after that trial except for that we had to straighten the track. On trial nine it was almost the same as all of the other trials, the golf ball did not have enough power to knock down the board game boxes. We had to move the boxes again. On trial ten it almost all worked but the regular dominoes were too close to the basketball hoop so they didn’t go. We had to take away some of the dominoes after that one. On trial eleven the board game boxes didn’t all fall down. So then we had to put the board game boxes closer together. On trial twelve the last board game box didn’t budge. We didn’t have to change anything on that one except that we had to make that last box a little more unsteady. On trial thirteen the golf ball didn’t have enough force to knock down the board game boxes. On trial fourteen the golf ball didn’t go into the tube. On that trial we had to move the golf ball closer to the tube. Finally on trial fifteen the Rube Goldberg machine actually worked! We were really excited because we had to change so many things and it worked at the end!

  1. A lot of writing. Awesome! I liked how you included many details like what trial you were on an that you were annoyed. In the post you got more annoyed and annoyed and I really liked how you did that. Great post!
