SeedFolks Sam

In the book SeedFolks by Paul Fleischman, I am reading the next chapter called “Sam.” This chapter is told in Sam’s point of view. Sam is a man. He saw people across the street, and decided he felt the need to go over and see what everybody was staring at. Sam saw men in suits and thought that it was people from jail. He thought that seeing those people was ridiculous. Sam likes to fish. However, he only fishes with other people. He used to try to patch up the whole world. For 36 years Sam worked for different groups, promoting world government, setting up conferences on pacifism, raising money and stuffing envelopes but now he is retired and enjoys it. He thinks retirement has had more effect on the world for him. Sam does many things though. Infact, he smiles at people and starts small talks with them. He especially likes people who have a darker skin color or people who are from out of the country. Sam likes to grow crops in gardens. I think that he is going to help Kim with her garden. This book has started to become a mystery to me. It is really good and I can’t wait to  read the next chapter.
