Personal Narrative Reflextion

What I am most proud of is writing dialogue because I want the reader to think of it as real life happening. I really loved the start of my story. It starts like this Bring, bring, bring. I also loved how I ended it, Luciano always says yes. I loved how I added dialogue to me and my mom.

The one thing that was difficult was adding details because you have to read it over again to make sure the spelling is correct. I used to not like how I used too much dialogue but I added more details.I used to not like how I read my writing in my head, now I whisper it.

The Morning Story

Bring, bring, bring. My alarm clock was beeping.

I got up and stopped it and walked to the kitchen,

I groaned “I am hungry.”

Maryna asked me “Then what do you want for breakfast?

I responded “What can I have?” She gave me options of what I could eat.

“I want waffles please!” I told her. Maryna packed me my lunch and snack as she was making my breakfast.

Then, I went upstairs and I saw my mom! I hadn’t seen her often in mornings

“Hi sweetie. How are you? I am getting ready for work!” my mom said

I hugged my mom tight. My mom hugged me tight back also.

My mom asked me “Have you brushed your teeth?” I need to go to work!’

I answered her “Yes I am going to brush my teeth but don’t be late for work!”

“Okay,” my mom said and my mom left.

I brushed my teeth with a flavor that tasted like mint but it had no mint flavor.

After I brushed my teeth, I went to change. I thought what should I wear today?

I yelled “MARYNA! what should I wear?”

Maryna yelled back “I am coming to help!” Maryna came 5 minutes later.

“Wear jeans, a sweater and short sleeves underneath the sweater.” Maryna said

I did what she told me and put on socks.

Then I went to the kitchen so I could wait for the bus. While I was waiting I put on my shoes.

The bus came! It was honking crazy! I got on the bus and talked about what happened this morning because I was on my bus.

I always tell him before I tell him what happened this crazy morning. I say “How was your day yesterday?” Luciano always says good.

I just laughed after he says good.
