My teacher read The Wizard of Oz to our class aloud. None of us liked the ending so we were challenged to write a new ending. Here it goes:

Dorothy  finds herself not where she wanted to go. The shoes brought her to an unexpected place called Oz The Bad. Dorothy was mad because all she wanted was to go home to see Aunt Em. She was stuck in this terrible place with a bad witch. Dorothy was her servant but she found the witch’s broomstick and took it. The witch chased Dorothy all the way to the border of the land where she died and Dorothy flew off to Kansas on the broomstick. Dorothy learned that the whole thing was just a story in her mind.  A dream.
