Ignite Talk Reflection

For my Ignite, I made a presentation about tornadoes. The project was good, my project was focused on tornadoes, tornadoes are an extreme weather. I did my research using articles and printed materials. I learned how to stay safe from tornadoes. I also learned that tornadoes can cause a lot of damage in their way. I learned that tornadoes have strong wind forces. Finally, there’s the area in the US known as Tornado Alley.

For my challenge, I learned my presentation without notes. I remember how to say my Ignite, my brain strengths are very well. I also worked very hard for the entire month gathering information and made many edits to my project before I was able to do my presentation.

I was not nervous at all, my feelings were happy. I read about my research. I am very brave, actually I’m not very scared, it was fun and challenging. I also proud of myself.

Here is my video about my Ignite:

Everyone Should go to Killington, Vermont

In my persuasive essay, I wrote about “Everyone should go to Killington, Vermont.” I wrote about this topic because I love snowboarding because snowboarding is fun! I dislike snowboarding on black & double black trails because that trail’s hill was so steep. In my persuasive essay, I taught about snowboarding. There are many things to do at Killington. Killington Resort mountains are very big, there are six peaks, there are 57 trails and there are 5 lodges. I liked picking the pictures for my slides. I did not like recording my project because for my first and second reason I only had 30 seconds to record and I ran out of time. I finished my project and I am ready to share it with my class.

My Expert Book: Math Strategies

I wanted to write about math strategies because I like math. I like to learn strategies to solve problems. I learned all these strategies in my math workbook. The ideas I came up with were partial sums, estimate sums, compatible numbers & adjusting addends. First, I wrote about the strategy, and then I wrote an example of a strategy. I organized my strategies by unit order. I like making the slideshow because it has chapters, glossary, introduction, dedication and about the author. The hardest part was making the shapes. My favorite part was showing examples of math strategies. I learned how to do slideshows. I learn that I am typing a little faster when I practice. I am proud of my hard work because my book is good.

This is my expert book.

Thank you for reading.

My first day of school.

I came to the 3DO classroom, then I said, “Hello! Mrs.O’Neill!’’

Then she asked, “Hello Anthony! How is your Leon?”

I said, “Well!’’

I found my chair pouch, because I have to sit.

I found my wordsearch. I was very happy, because I like to do word search. I find words Anthony, Christopher, Ryan, Sophia, Chase, Olivia and Charlotte. I am good at word search.
