Constitution Project Reflection

We had a project where we ultimately had to record a video about a research question related to the Constitution and Amendments and whatever else is related.

I chose my research topic related to Civil Rights because I already knew much of the stuff (and soon figured out that I didn’t), and I didn’t really know what to choose anyway. Also, MLK Jr. Day was coming up, so I thought it would be a good idea.

The research was easy. I went on search engines like Kiddle and Britannica, but didn’t use anything I got from there, because it just wasn’t related to the research question. I just went to our favorite websites: BrainPOP and Ducksters…

This didn’t fit again. I was so raged now I just changed my research question, which was 5000% easier and faster. The majority of my notes were in the script.

For the slideshow, I inserted my script into the Speaker Notes section. Then I just put in images I thought fit. I think it was the easiest part. Then I made a recording of me saying it all on a recording. It took me about twenty minutes. here view it

The most challenging part was probably the notes. Most frustrating, too, add that. I hate reading nonfiction and taking notes. And also doing it in my own words. It’s like writing an essay (very, very hard). Research is bad. Hmph.

I feel like I learned a lot. I say that a lot for history projects… Last time I didn’t research at all, but the deadline came soon and my head was soon buried in words.

the end
