At this part of the project we have finished most of the work like the essay, the script and part of the movie. I think of it like a video game checkpoint. You have to learn and work for every checkpoint.
My main inquiry question is “Who Is The Most Influential Hockey Player In The NHL?” Well the answer is there are lots of them. Each player that has an impact on the NHL can impact in different ways. For example different positions like goalie can impact differently than how a forward might impact the NHL. Patrick Roy has had the most impact as a goalie, Gordie Howe has had the most impact as a captain, Nicklas Lidstrom has had the most impact as a defenseman, the Edmonton Oilers has had the most impact as a team, Jim Gregory has had the most impact on the NHL as a general manager. The essay was really hard. You have to do a lot of research and say all of it in your own words. If your essay is not good, then your script will be very confusing. But I enjoyed doing the essay because after you are done with the essay, the script will be a lot easier to do.
I chose Movie cause I kind of already got a feeling of how it was going to go. I also really liked the format of the movie. We got to choose a Wevideo, or Adobe. I chose Adobe cause I recently did a project using Adobe which I really enjoyed. The process of completing your script was long and hard. Not only do you have to time everything, you also have to get all of the slides from your essay. Not only that, but you also have to delete some of the things that don’t match your pictures. The slides timing was probably the hardest part. You have to calculate and make sure that your slides are longer than three minutes and shorter than six minutes. What I liked about it is that it was a lot easier to do your movie.
The “final part” is the movie, Tedtalk, or ignite. For me I have finished about 90 percent of my movie. I have finished my voice over and most of the pictures for each slide. The most challenging part was putting and finding pictures that matched your voiceover. Some pictures are blurry, and some pictures are cut off. The part I enjoyed most is the movie recording part. I found it really easy to look at the script and record.
Capstone has not been as hard as I expected. The hardest part for me was the script. The rest of the project really wasn’t that hard, I actually enjoyed doing the project so far!
