Going onto the website, National Geographic Kids, I have learned and observed a lot. Today I was looking into Saving The Earth Tips. It had information about saving the animals, tips to reduce your plastic use, ways to stop Earth from pollution, climate change, and many more resources. Some of the main ideas I think the purpose of these sites and articles are about helping make the world a better place. An example of one thing I had learned, was about half the world’s sea turtles accidentally eat plastic and other trash! That is why people should not litter trash on beaches, because it is bad for sea turtles and many other animals. Another thing I learned is that Americans use about 500 million plastic straws a day, and they’re one of the top 10 trash items found during ocean cleanups. That is not good, and we should really stop using that many plastic straws. I prefer metal straws or paper straws. One last thing I learned was that some food and clothes are made with pesticides—chemicals sprayed on crops to kill bad bugs. Pesticides can kill bees, which is a bad thing. In conclusion, I learned and observed a lot. These sites are very interesting and tell important things.

I have a few goals for 2022. One goal is to be more independent. I want to be more independent because a lot of times I might need help with little things, or ask for help without even trying. I think being more independent is a good trait for when I get older because the older I get the more responsible I have to be, and I’m almost 11. I think some things I could do to work towards this goal, are whenever I am stuck or need help I will try my hardest first, and try to be more independent, and grown-up with things I could do by myself.

Another trait I have is to be more organized. My room usually looks clean, but actually, most of it isn’t really organized, it is just stuffed in piles and bins or set aside for later. And sometimes I have important homework papers and I lose them a lot, in my bag, at home, or even at my desk. Some possible things I could do to work towards this goal is to organize and clean my room more, and probably I also need to clean out my folders and desk.

Some of my other goals are personal, but these are my main goals. Hopefully this year is a fresh start, and it will be better than the past years for me.

Part II: Questions

To me, I think the most important right for a citizen to have in a free country is to have your own natural rights and equal rights with everyone.  Another important right is to be able to be free to make your own decisions and do what you want without someone ruling over you. For a student’s rights, for all students to have the same knowledge as every student should get to be able to learn and think, connecting to the importance of life for people.  

I strongly believe that all citizens should have the same equal rights as everyone should, and no one should get a right over someone else, because for example, if the President had a bigger right than regular citizens, it would just be like King George lll all over again. Another reason for this is because everyone has natural rights, and we are all human so we should all be treated equally. If some people had a stronger right over other people, it would get chaotic, and there would be a Revolutionary War ll! And no one wants that. 

I think some people’s rights should be limited. For example, some rights like the right to go anywhere you want by law and policies, should not have a limit, but something that should be limited for specific causes can be, for example, the right to bear arms. I think that it should be limited because if it had no limits people could overhunt animals, and it could be dangerous because they could use weapons on people and when they aren’t supposed to. 

I think that there are some rights that we don’t necessarily have, that I believe we should. For example, I believe that people shouldn’t be able to animal test with makeup products. I also think that people should not kill animals such as sharks and bears for no reason. I also think smoking should be permanently banned, and everyone should have electric cars and solar power. I also have many more ideas to improve the world and make it a better place.

these are my cute little pets. The cat is Layla and the kitten is Izzy. Layla is 2 years old, and Izzy is almost 1. ( I’m talking in human years, if I was talking in cat years Izzy would be like 13 and Layla would be like 20. )

They both were rescued from the animal center. Layla is more independent, and shy. And Izzy is more energetic and CRAZY!!! They both love each other Layla acts like a big sis or even a mom to Izzy! Layla favorite foods are dry food, wet food, cat treats, and cat nip. And Izzy’s favorite foods are wet food, cheese, chicken, and cat nip.

Izzy’s story: Izzy was a stray kitten on the road, with no one. So the animal center took her. Then we took her.

Layla’s story: Layla’s story has a twist, Layla’s such a shy cat because people threatened her! That’s why he has a part of her ear chipped off. And a year after we got Layla, it turned out we found out he was a BOY.

 One rainy night I was watching a movie with my brother and sister, and suddenly my mom came down stairs and said, “ Jane while I go up stairs to cook my dinner you are in charge.” And we were watching a scary movie so it was good to be in charge. 

I whispered in my head. (Yay! I am the boss finally I get to be like the oldest.) (I am the oldest but my sister is my twin. But I am 2 minutes born before her so that still counts as the oldest.)

Then my mom left. Then I said “ ok guys I’m the boss here so listen to me,”. Then my sister said “ no you are not the boss I am,” then I said “ no I’m, that is what mom said,” then my brother said “ no you two I’m the boss,” then we both said “ no.” Nooooo!!!!! “ guys I am the BOSS!!!! It’s not funny! “ I’m the boss,”!!!!

I ran like a charged bull to the bathroom I started to think what should I do? They are not listening. Then I slowly gloomed at the floor, I slowly stepped out of the bathroom.

Then my sister helplessly said “why are YOU frowning”, then I said “ none of your business”, in a fierce voice! Then I ran like a CHEETAH and went to my room. I slammed the door shot and flopped face first onto my bed.

My head was sinking into the fluffy deep blanket. It was pitch black, I held my breath, then I couldn’t hold my breath any more so I got out of my bed.

I was soooo mad, I sat in the corner of my room crying. Then my mom came in my room and said “why are you crying?” I sniffed a little and said “ Natalie and Alex ( my sister and brother ) were being mean to me”,  then I wiped my tears. My mom said “ it’s ok”, then she left.

I stopped crying and said  “seriously”, thinking that did not help. Then I stomped back down stairs like a bear.

“Ohh”, I said with a frown on my face squinting at my sister and brother when I came down stairs. I thought about how I was the oldest sibling in the family, then when I stomped down the stairs ( to the basement) I said “guys I’m the boss and I want a snack-  then I immediately stopped. I knew that I was the boss totally. But they would not listen. When I walked to the couch I felt the warm air from the heater, then suddenly my mom came down stairs and said “guys I’m done cooking my dinner.” Then I frowned ( I did not get to be the boss): )
