Have you ever made a video before? Well for my project I had to do just that. Starting the project, I had to come up with 10 to 15 questions to ask my babysitter, Dane. Then I had to put it into a script, which had to be three to four minutes long. After that, I put the script in a template which was very easy because all I had to do was copy and paste it in. When I got to the WeVideo, I had to record and add pictures over and then add music to end it off.
When we started the project, I had to come up with 10 to 15 questions in chronological order. Having to do an interview with someone I know was the easiest thing in the world because it wasn’t awkward at all, and it was very quick. It was even in person, so I didn’t have to record it. Going into the project I didn’t expect it to be this easy, I thought I had to interview someone I didn’t know. From this interview I learned that every person in the world has an interesting story. For instance, I never knew that my babysitter, Dane, immigrated here in the first place. And an even cooler thing, when she was young she would climb trees to pick her favorite fruit mangoes.
After the interview process, we moved on to recording which was really annoying due to the fact that if there was the slightest noise it ruins the whole thing. After getting done with the recording, it was easy putting in the pictures. But then when I listened back to the recording I realized my pictures and recording did not match at all. At that point, I thought I would never finish until eventually in the end it turned out well. Making a WeVideo I learned to go step by step and check your work every 30 seconds so everything was aligned, unlike my mistake. The thing I am most proud of is getting out of the sticky situation I was in and still making an amazing video.
Ultimately, the ups and downs of this project showed me you can get through anything. Even if you have to start over, you can always bounce back. Have you ever had to start over during a project?
