Capstone: Main Inquiry Question and Sub Questions #2

For Capstone we weren’t allowed to just study a topic, in my case Mountain Biking. That was too broad. We needed a question to answer. There are many questions I could answer under the topic of Mountain Biking. So, I had to put my thinking cap on and find a question that would get my intrigued for 7 weeks. There were many things I wondered like, what do you were while Mountain Biking or ho do you build a Mountain Bike. But those are too easy. I had to find what my teacher called a level 4 question. This was no easy task. So, I decided to take a break and watch some videos. I was watching a video called Mountain Biker vs. Road Biker rap battle and something clicked in my head. I had to compare Mountain Bikes and Road Bikes. After my teacher helped me craft it a bit more and I got, “How do Mountain Bikes and Road Bikes compare and what are the key differences.” This is a level 4 question because I am comparing two things and after I have to use some of my personally thinking to figure out the key differences for mountain biking and road biking. After I successfully got my main inquiry question I started to work on my sub questions. I needed my sub questions to aid me in figuring out my main inquiry question. So I started to dig up all the differences between mountain biking and road biking. This is what I uncovered:

  1. How does the design of mountain bikes and road bikes compare?

2. How does the gear you wear while mountain bikes and road bikes compare?

3. How does the terrain of where you ride on with mountain bikes and road bikes compare?

4. How do mountain bikes and road bikes competitions compare?

5. How does the types mountain bikes and road bikes compare
