“Oh my God!! It is a coyote.” I screamed. “Ahh!”
It began when I woke up on Tuesday morning. I looked outside the window and I saw a coyote that was awake and sitting like a dog when it’s asleep. I freaked out but I was also excited to tame it into being a dog because dogs and coyotes are kind of the same. I asked mom, (translated from Russian) “Can I tame the coyote mom?”
Mom calmly said,“No, because it might eat your hand off!”
I told grandma Tanta and Grandpa George but they already knew.
I got dressed, they packed my backpack and I dressed in my outer layer. If the coyote spotted me I would have been his breakfast.
When the bus arrived I quickly opened the door and I ran for my life! I ran as fast as I could. My heart was racing! My heart was beating all the way to my ribcage. I begged God for me to survive!
Luckily, the coyote didn’t spot me. I was pretty lucky because the coyote did not see me. My heart began to slow down.
I got into the bus and told my friends, but they didn’t seem to care very much.
Then I got to school.
I thought to myself, would that coyote be waiting for me when I got home? Then I made a run for it! Unfortunately all good things must come to an end the coyote left and never seen again.
I worried about the coyote, hoping that it would be safe and still alive.
My mom said, “not to worry because Coyotes have a way of life.”
I hope she was right, I thought to myself.
