Literary Essay – Alone Days with Frog and Toad

Writing a literary essay was not the hardest thing I ever did.  In fact I would say some of my tests were easier. I learned that a literary essay needs evidence. It’s like a building. The evidence is like stables for a building. Without any evidence, and no stables, the building collapses.  The building is a literary essay.  I needed a couple of pieces of evidence from the story to support my claim.

Frog and Toad

In the book Alone Days with Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel the charter Toad is caring because he went to Frog’s house and Frog wasn’t there He looked in Frogs backyard and throw the window and in the woods, the meadow. This shows that Toad cares for Frog because Toad kept searching in spots he thought Frog would be.

Another piece of evidence was that he shouted and waved to get Frogs’ attention, and thought “poor Frog” “he must be very sad, I will cheer him up.

Toad also made sandwiches and a pitcher of iced tea. This shows that toad is caring because he wanted frog to feel better by having a drink with him

Finally he rode a turtle almost all the way across the river, this tells me that Toad cares for frog and is willing to help Frog at any point of his journey in life.
