This year I am in the 5th grade and we are doing many awesome projects  one is building a paper rocket and launching it using pressurized air as the fuel. We also learned things like Newton’s Laws of Motion or engineering design process.

Our teacher split us into groups by the tables that we sat in. As a group we had to come up with a name and i remembered one of my friends saying we could call our group Nasa but we thought, we just might get copyrighted so we made it stand for something we decided to call ourselves Not A Silly Association.

As a group the first thing we did was make an inspiration board to help us well, get inspired! Then after that we started our google slides! We chose the colors and and words and the format of our slides we had our computer teacher mr. Casal teach us how to make our slides consistent and how to make it look good.

Next was research now this was going to be fun our teacher gave us links so we could find out how to build our rocket.

Our rocket looked promising but then the launch came and we were first and our rocket did not do as well as we thought it would

Our second rocket had to be better than everybody elses rocket so we made it just like the successful rockets by making a pointy nose cone and three fins instead of 4.

After both of our launches we had to graph it and that was ok but hard being neat.

Now it was time to present to our parents and this made me pretty nervous cause I thought I might forget the script. When the time came it was great, and I did great I didn’t forget any lines and the parents loved our presentation!

Overall I loved the unit cause it built up our teamwork and it made our group really get together and not only be group mates but also be friends!
