Tynkering in Other School Subjects

I did one math and one english activity in Tynker. They were both fun. In the math one I made it so you get asked questions and you have to answer them correctly. In the english program you get asked questions with blanks. In the blanks you have to choose less or fewer. In this […]

Swift Playgrounds

This week in Computer Technology we coded in Swift Playgrounds. Here is a picture of what I coded and the output. In my program, I tried to make a hate machine. This robot hates you, even if it doesn’t know you. It was challenging to write because the capitalization, spelling, and grammar need to be […]

Quiz Tynker Project

In my quiz project I tried to make the person playing guess the season. You learn science in my project. I liked Lyla’s Quiz project because when you get the question wrong, the actor runs away.

Music Video

In this coding project, we made actors dance to music. I thought it was fun. The animation that I chose was cool because it was a walking pig. I added farm music and a farm background to make a farm. I liked how everything went together.

Tynker “Programming 201” and “About Me”

In a program called “Tynker” we did Programming 201. What I like about Tynker is the different projects. Your teacher can assign things, you can create blank projects, you can make not blank projects and then change them, you can beat a game with code, or follow a tutorial. Nothing is difficult really except when […]

Drew Houston, creator of Dropbox says in the video, “Even […]

Capstone #3

For my final Capstone project, I had to write an outline and the main points I was going to say. Then I made that into a script. I wanted to do one continuous video. I looked at the outline and realized I couldn’t do that. This was my only challenge in the whole project. I […]

Capstone 2

For our Capstone, we are supposed to interview an expert. I tried to email two celebrities that I know love baking, but they didn’t respond. I didn’t expect them to. I knew I wanted to interview someone from a local bakery. My teacher and mom helped me pick between Lulu’s Bakery and Riviera’s Bakehouse. I […]

Capstone 1

As fifth-graders, we get to do a super fun project called Capstone. We pick a topic and do research about it. We then make a presentation that answers a question about your topic. I chose my topic because we filled out a form that told us to come up with topics for each question. Then […]
