Monday: Word Sort and Word Hunt

• Sort your words according to the headings.
• Write the date in your book. Write the title of your task and underline it.
• Write each word, under the correct heading.
• Find two new words to add to each column (except the oddball column).

Tuesday: Word Sort and Sentences

• Sort your words according to the headings.
• Write the date in your book. Write the title of your task and underline it.
• Select 5 words to use in sentences.
• Underline the spelling words in the sentences.
• Check your sentences for correct spelling, punctuation and capitalization.

Wednesday: Word Sort and Draw/Label

• Sort your words according to the headings.
• Write the date in your book. Write the title of your task and underline it.
• Select 5 words to draw and label.

Thursday: Word Sort and Blind Sort

• Sort your words according to the headings.
• Write the date in your book. Write the title of your task and underline it.
• Copy the headings that you used on Monday into your book.
• Shuffle your words and give them to an adult to read out to you.
• As the words are read to you, write them under the correct heading. Look at them carefully afterwards to check your spellings.
